Your dog is so adorable!

Do the UV beads just turn colors or indicate when you have too much sun? I've never heard of them.

Hi Heather! It looks like you little ones had a great time with the UV beads. I bought them for my daughter and we used them on her roller skates. I thought they were just novel until I found this science website. There is a ton of ideas to do with these beads! Very Cool!! Here is the link in case you want to try some of the UV Bead experiments with your kids: http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/experiment/00000118 I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Hey Karma, they just turn in the sun. But, there is an experiment that is suggested with it...to rub sunscreen on them. It A, shows if your sunscreen is working, B, how long the sunscreen works. I think you could use it as a guage for sun exposure. Tess left a comment about them too about the website where I got them if you are intereseted in getting some...they are decent priced, and we had fun. We used them in Sunday school but as a play on words..."you" like the beads are changed in the "Son".
